I used to think influencers were just people you looked up to every now and then.
You'd see a post. Feel inspired for a few minutes. Then go back to whatever you were doing before.
Temporary. Forgettable. Gone by morning.
That was my relationship with the people I followed online for a long time.
Then something shifted.
I stopped casually scrolling past their content and started actually consuming it. Every day. Intentionally. Paying close attention to what they were saying and doing.
And slowly without even realizing it, something started changing.
Not my follower count. Not my income. Not anything visible yet.
My thinking changed. My whole mindset.
The way I planned things. The way I approached problems. The way I saw what was possible for someone like me.
I stopped seeing these people as influencers.
They started feeling more like teachers. Like people who were actually showing me something instead of just making me feel good for a moment.
And here's what I realized.
Starting something online is actually stupid simple.
The information is everywhere. The tools are free. The opportunity is real.
The only thing stopping most people isn't knowledge or skill or resources.
It's fear.
Fear of trying something different. Fear of looking stupid. Fear of starting and failing in public.
But look at every single person you admire online.
They all started in the exact same place you're in right now.
Zero followers. Zero proof. Zero guarantee it was going to work.
The only difference between them and everyone else?
They stopped watching and started doing.
And they let their experiences teach them.
Not courses. Not motivation. Their actual experiences. The failures. The pivots. The moments of almost quitting and coming back anyway.
That's the real education.
So if you're just starting out and feel lost, stop looking for the perfect niche or the perfect strategy or the perfect moment to begin.
Just start surrounding yourself with the people you want to become.
Watch what they do. How they think. How they talk about their failures.
And then go do the same.
Your brain will handle the rest.
P.S. The version of you that figures this out is closer than you think. You just have to be teachable enough to let your own journey show you the way.
